QUALITY & TESTING

Tested the way we'd want it tested for our own kids

Every batch goes to an independent lab before it goes to your child. Here's exactly what that means.

01

Third-party testing

We don't test our own homework. Every batch is sent to an independent, outside lab before it ships, not just checked internally and stamped quality checked.

  • Testing is done by a lab we don't own and don't control
  • Results are generated per batch, not per product line
  • Heavy metal testing is part of this process
Why this matters A company testing its own product has a reason to see a pass. A third-party lab doesn't.
02

Heavy metals

Anything grown in soil, including the herbs we use, can pick up trace heavy metals from the ground itself. It's not a sign something went wrong; it's why testing exists.

We test for heavy metals against the permissible limits set for food and health supplements in India, so every batch is checked against a real legal standard, not just a guess.

  • Lead
  • Mercury
  • Cadmium
  • Arsenic
Why we test for this specifically Some of our formulas include Ayurvedic mineral preparations. Those get the closest look.
03

Certificate of analysis

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is the lab's own report on a batch: what was tested, and what the result was.

[Lab name] [Add your third-party lab's name and accreditation here once confirmed.]
04

Microbial & nutritional testing

Batches are checked for harmful microbes, and nutritional testing confirms that what's printed on the label is what's actually in the bottle.

  • Harmful bacteria
  • Label-accuracy testing for key nutrients
Why nutritional testing matters A dose that's correct on the label but wrong in the bottle isn't actually a correct dose.
05

Allergens

[Confirm with your formulation team which common allergens (wheat, dairy, egg, peanut, soy) are and aren't used, and whether cross-contamination protocols are in place at the manufacturing facility.]

Why this matters A very effective product that you're allergic to is as useful as the fastest race horse, but with broken legs.
06

Ingredient sourcing & dosing

Every Ayurvedic ingredient we use is sourced and identified against the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India, the same thing regulators check against.

Doses aren't a single adult amount shrunk down. They're built against ICMR-NIN's own age-banded recommended intakes, so a formula made for a 70-year-old is dosed differently than one made for a 17-year-old.

What this rules out No unidentified plant material. No single "one size fits all" dose.
07

Licensing & compliance

Vedic Genie products are manufactured and sold under real, checkable licences, not just a label that says "Ayurvedic" or "nutraceutical."

  • FSSAI Lic. No. 10261002109141067
  • AYUSH Lic. No. 1358-ISM (HR)
You can verify this yourself Both licence numbers are checkable against the relevant government registers.

Independently tested

Not tested by us, for us.

Dosed by age

Built against ICMR-NIN, not one adult dose.

One age range, on purpose

9 to 19 is the only range we formulate for.

Questions parents actually ask

Where do heavy metals actually come from?

Mostly the ground itself. Fruits, vegetables, herbs, and even drinking water can pick up trace heavy metals from soil, depending on where they're grown. It's a normal part of anything actually grown, not made in a lab, which is exactly why testing every batch against a legal limit matters, instead of assuming it's fine.

Is third-party testing actually required by law?

No, Indian FSSAI law does not generally require companies to send every produced batch to a third-party lab. It does require the relevant product testing, and the FSSAI licence condition allows testing from both: an appropriate in-house laboratory or a NABL-accredited/FSSAI-notified laboratory.

Why does the dose change by age?

A 70-year-old and a 17-year-old aren't the same bodies and don't have the same nutrient needs. India's own health authority (ICMR-NIN) sets different recommended intakes for different age bands, so one fixed adult dose stretched across 9-19-year-old children was never going to be accurate for all of it.

Is Vedic Genie organic?

Some of the ingredients in Vedic Genie (raspberries, kale, apple powder) are organic, but others are not classified as organic, such as minerals, or do not fall under organic or inorganic classification due to the growing or extraction process. In some cases, we have elected to use an ingredient from a non-organic supplier because we found it was higher quality, more consistent, and still passed our rigorous third-party testing standards, which include tests for hundreds of pesticides and herbicides. For this reason, we cannot label the entire formula as organic.

What is bioavailability?

Bioavailability is the extent to which your body can absorb, process, and use any given nutrient. When formulating Vedic Genie, we look for high bioavailability of ingredients and believe it is the most important measure of ingredient quality in dietary supplements. Bioavailability is critical because it determines how much an ingredient affects your health. Only nutrients that your body can absorb and utilize will support your health. That's why focusing on bioavailability is so important in Foundational Nutrition supplements.

If there’s no sugar, how does your Multivitamin taste so good?

Our formula uses monk fruit extract, a natural sweetener, along with sorbitol and natural flavors to create a pleasant taste without compromising on the effectiveness of the product. Each serving is designed to be easy to fit into your day, with one chewable tablet per day.
